One must "accept Christ," or make a decision for Christ. We have Billy Graham and, to a lesser extent, our own Walter A. Maier to thank for this inaccurate language and "decision theology" doctrine. It's bothersome, but mostly because of the effects of such false doctrine, as outlined at the end of the linked article.
